Who we are

What we collect
Account: email and password. The password is stored only as a one-way hash (argon2id); we cannot see it.
CV: what you enter: name, contacts, city, role, experience, skills, English level, expected pay, working hours and a CV file if you add one.
Technical data: IP address, browser and sign-in time, to keep your account safe and stop password guessing.
Why
To show companies your anonymous profile, to pass your contacts only to a company whose request you accept or whose job you apply for, and to tell you about requests and application updates. Emails about new jobs only if you agreed to them. Legal bases: your consent and the agreement to use the service.
What companies see
Before you agree: only an anonymous profile with your role, years of experience, English level, expected pay, hours, skills and the type of companies you worked for, without their names.
Your name, contacts, CV file, employer names and exact city go only to a company whose request you accept. We log every such disclosure.
When you apply for a job, the company that posted it gets your name, contacts and CV: only that company and only with that application. We record this consent. You can withdraw the application in your account, after which the company no longer sees your data on the site.
Where and how long
On a server in the Netherlands (EU). Your name and contacts are stored encrypted. We keep the data while the account exists. When you delete the account, your name, contacts and CV file are deleted at once; anonymised security log entries are kept for up to 12 months.
Cookies
Only the necessary ones: a session cookie (stafka_sid) to keep you signed in, a form protection cookie (stafka_csrf) and a sign-in marker (stafka_in) that only tells the site to show “My account” instead of “Sign in” and holds no personal data. No advertising, analytics or trackers.
Jobs you save before signing in, an unfinished application and a form draft are kept only in your browser (localStorage) until you sign in or clear the site's data.
Your rights
In your account you can download a copy of your data, correct it, pause your profile or delete the account. You can withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country or to the CNIL in France. Questions: hello@silkstaff.com.
