About Stafka
Stafka is run by Silkstaff, a recruiting operator based in Paris. We find English-speaking remote staff in Georgia, Armenia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan for companies in the US and Europe, and we publish the wage and cost data behind our advice.
Who we are
Silkstaff is a recruiting operator based in Paris. It runs this site, silkstaff.com and the candidate bot @silkstaff_bot. We recruit in Georgia, Armenia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. We do not recruit in Russia or Belarus.

How vetting works
- Application. Candidates apply through @silkstaff_bot, our Telegram bot, with a short questionnaire about their experience.
- Written English task. A written task in English, assessed against the C1 level.
- Recorded voice answer. A spoken answer recorded in the bot, also assessed at C1, so we know how the person speaks before anyone books a call.
- Shortlist. For each request we pick three people whose experience and hours fit the brief, and send their profiles within 5 business days.
- Your interview, your decision. You talk to the people you like. Nobody starts without your yes.
We do not publish pass rates or "top 1%" claims. When we report numbers from our own pipeline, they are aggregates for groups of at least 10 people, as the methodology explains.
How we make money

The fee includes a free replacement within 90 days[1]. Candidates contract directly with the employer and are paid in US dollars through Deel, Wise or Payoneer; we take nothing from their pay. Those services charge the employer their own fees, for example $49 a month for Deel's contractor plan[2] or from 0.23% per Wise transfer[3]. That money goes to them, not to us.
Where our numbers come from
The cost-of-hiring and salary pages use BLS wage statistics for the US, Eurostat for Europe and the national statistics offices of Georgia, Armenia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan, with a numbered source under every table. What you will not find here
- Client logos, ratings or testimonials. We will show them only with the client's written permission.
- Pass rates or candidate counts we cannot show the data for.
- Any fee for candidates.
