Methodology and data sources
How the numbers on this site are produced, and their limits. Last data refresh: 2026-10-16.
United States
Wages come from the BLS Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics (May 2025 release), cross-industry, for the national level, every state and every metropolitan and nonmetropolitan area. Each role maps to the closest Standard Occupational Classification code, shown on every page. Hourly figures are annual wages divided by 2,080 hours, the BLS convention. "Employer cost" adds benefits using the private-industry share of benefits in total compensation from the BLS Employer Costs for Employee Compensation (30.0%, June 2026); it is an estimate.
Europe
Eurostat publishes earnings by major occupation group (ISCO-08), not by job title, from the Structure of Earnings Survey (latest wave 2022, enterprises with 10+ employees). Employer costs use Eurostat labour cost levels and the share of non-wage costs. Because the survey is from 2022, current wages are likely higher.
Georgia, Armenia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan
Average wages come from the national statistics offices (Geostat, Armstat, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, the Bureau of National Statistics of Kazakhstan) and their city offices. Currency conversions use each central bank's official rate on the build date. English levels come from the EF English Proficiency Index. Our own salary ranges are the ranges of our open vacancies.
Working hours
Time-zone overlaps assume a 9:00–17:00 client day and a 9:00–18:00 local day, with IANA time-zone offsets for January and July.
Our candidate data
Figures from our own applicant pipeline are aggregates only (no individual data) and only for groups of at least 10 people.
